I admit I am a weird mix. I started out as a Mets fan way back in 1968. At first I didn’t think much of those Yankees but in the late 70s I started to watch and respect those Yankee teams (after all those late 70s Mets were bad and we got Yanks on cable too.)
The Yanks have had a pretty good history with 27 World Championships, 40 Pennants and 48 trips to the playoffs. Still even the Yankees have had their off moments. After all this is a franchise that did not win a world series in the 80s! In fact they didn’t even make the playoffs from 1983 to 1993. It can be argued that from 1985 – 1991 the Mets were the best team in New York. So Yankee fans need to have some coping skills too. Here are a few helpful hints:
