Wow, the Mets are bad, really really really bad right now. After a some what promising 3 and 1 start, beating the Florida Marlins twice and taking the first game from the Philadelphia Phillies it has been totally down hill. They lost the next three to the Phillies: 10-7, 11-0, 6-2. They lost two out of three (6-2 and 7-3) to the Washington Nationals. They have now lost seven in a row. They were swept by the Colorado Rockies 7-6, 5-4, 6-5 and 9-4. Yesterday, they were swept in a double header by the Atlanta Braves 4-2 and 4-0. In the 4-0 game they literally ran their way out of the game. That also gives them one win out of the last ten. They have lost two straight double headers for the first time I can ever remember.
Mets bad
Wow, the Mets are bad. No other way to put it right now. Actually bad is being polite. They have won one game in the last week and that was a gift win against the Giants. The Diamond Backs just swept them in three games. The Diamond Backs a team that was 34 and 58. The Mets have made the Giants and D’Backs pitching staffs look like they consisted of : Warren Span, Cy Young, Bob Gibson and fill in the name of any other hall of fame pitcher. Normally I like to give stats but the stats are so sad I can’t. The Mets are just plain awful. They now trail the Braves by 7 games.
