It’s looking more and more like the Phillie will get their hands on another Roy. This time Roy Oswalt. As a Braves fan, I’m here to tell you, one Roy is enough for anybody. They have reached their limit on Roy’s.
Just a few short days ago, the Braves were 7 games up on the Phillies….7. This morning that lead is down to 3.5. The Phillies are getting healthier by the day and now with it all but certain that Roy Oswalt is coming to the team, the Braves and their fans have much to be worried about. This weekend the Braves get the Reds and the Phillies get the Nationals and quite possibly Oswalt. Braves fans everywhere are contemplating committing Hara Kiri.
I thought it was bad enough when Halladay came to the Phillies. I knew it would spell big trouble for the Braves. The only saving grace was that unfortunately the Phillies spent a big chunk of the season battling DL trips. Now they are getting healthy again and they have 7 games in a row. Adding Oswalt just makes it that much more likely that they catch the Braves and/or overtake them completely in August. What am I saying, it may be this weekend.
The Phillies already have a Roy. I’m on board with no more Roy for them.
